Om denne aktiviteten
Start your day trip with hotel pickup in Lao Cai and travel to Bac Ha, located 43 miles (70 km) northeast of Lao Cai. The drive, which starts out relatively flat, takes you through rural areas until the road gets a bit rougher in the final 18 miles (30 km).

You'll arrive in Coc Ly at a time when the Tuesday market is most crowded with members of ethnic minorities from surrounding villages — Flower H’mong, Black Dao, and Tay — who gather to buy and sell products including clothing, livestock, and handicrafts.

Depending on water levels, board a motorboat on the nearby Chay River, which flows into Vietnam from China. Cruise downstream past picturesque scenes on the riverbanks, stopping to visit Trung Do village where you can order a cup of tea in a traditional Tay house before continuing further to the Bao Nhai Bridge.

Alternatively, after a short transfer you'll walk with your guide along a path to Trung Do village. After your visit, you'll cross the river to visit the Flower H'mong village before hiking along the riverside, arriving in about 2 hours at Bao Nhai Bridge where your vehicle will take you back to Sapa.

Approx: 5 hours driving/ 1 hour boat cruise or 2 hours walking
