Om denne aktiviteten
Visit: Museo de Arte del Banco de la Republica, Calle 11 No. 4-21, Bogota Colombia

The Banco de la República Art Collection is one of the richest plastic arts museums in Latin America.

The collection is part of the cultural complex of the Luis Ángel Arango Library in the historic center of Bogotá (Colombia), which, in turn, belongs to the Banco de la República, the country's central bank. Although the collection began in 1957 with the donation made by the V Meeting of Central Banks of the American Continent, which included a "Mandolina" (1957) by Fernando Botero and works by Eduardo Ramírez Villamizar, among others, the collection was only opened to the public in 1996.

In 2007 it has about 4500 works, of which 450 are usually exhibited.
