Om denne aktiviteten
Damnoen Saduak is a world-famous floating market and the bustling scene is a timeless snapshot of exotic life in Thailand. Thai women with wooden hats sell colorful tropical fruits, coconut sugar candy, large prawns, mango sticky rice and som tum (papaya salad) from their self-paddled small boats. Located 100 km from downtown Bangkok, this tour makes it easy for anyone to see this unforgettable sight for themselves. After your visit to the floating market, enjoy a delicious lunch. Later, proceed to River Kwai where you get to visit the Memorial Bridge and the railway line constructed by Japan during WWII which runs from Ban Pong, Thailand to Thanbyuzayat, Burma- now known as the Death Railway. The railway line was meant to transport cargo daily to India, to back up an attack on India. However, the construction was done using POWs and Asian slave laborers in unfavorable conditions, hence the name of the railway.
